How has QA changed in 2026?
Two things are new in 2026. First, AI writes a lot of the test code. We use AI-assisted test generation to draft Playwright and Cypress suites from real user flows, then an engineer reviews, prunes, and keeps the tests that matter. Coverage goes up and the suite stays readable.
Second, LLM features need evals, not just asserts. A test can check that a button works. It cannot check that a chatbot's answer is grounded, on-format, and safe. An eval set does that with scored examples, and it runs in CI so a prompt or model change cannot ship a worse answer without someone seeing it.
